Funke Akindele, a deputy governor candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, has explained how her social media fan base will help her defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.
Funke is responding to an APC statement that she (Funke) had nothing to offer as the PDP deputy guber candidate and that she would lose the upcoming election.
Funke said she has over 20 million followers on social media who are prepared to vote for her when asked how she wants to unseat the ruling party in Lagos during an interview with Channels Tv on Thursday.
She maintained that in addition to her social media fans, she is incredibly popular at all levels in Lagos State.
I have the numbers, I have fans and followers, and I’m true to who I am, stated Funke.
“I have more than 20,000,000 followers, both online and off.
“I have grassroots supporters outside of Ikorodu who are ready to back me up, and I’m genuine to who I am. I’m moving in with the intention of transforming Lagosians’ lives.
“I’m in Lagos to offer solutions. We all know where the shoe pinches us, and I’m in the system and in the grief.
