Julia Ituma, a volleyball star of Italian-Nigerian descent, has passed away.
The final moments of Ituma were recorded by a CCTV camera positioned within her hotel in Turkey, just before the tragic incident that resulted in her death.
As she walked slowly towards her hotel room in Istanbul, Turkey, Ituma was captured on the hotel’s internal security camera having a phone conversation with an unidentified individual. This was the last known sighting of her.

Ituma commenced her Volleyball journey at the age of 11, and over the course of 18 years, she has risen to become a prominent figure in the Volleyball game, poised to make a significant impact.
During the second-leg knockout match between Igor Gorgonzola Novara and Eczacibasi Dynazit Istanbul, she scored two points before the team’s eventual loss. She was representing Igor Gorgonzola Novara in the match
CNN Turk has reported that Ituma was discovered unconscious on the ground outside The Valley Hotel at approximately 5:30am on Thursday morning.
Upon the arrival of paramedics and ambulance at the location, it was verified that she had passed away.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of her death and her body has been sent for examination.
The announcement was met with great surprise by Ituma’s loved ones and acquaintances, as she had been regarded as a bright up-and-coming talent in her local area.
