The Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, headed by Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere alias “Odumeje” in Onitsha, had some of its buildings completely destroyed by the Anambra State Task Force.
The State Government has designated the church, also known as Land of Freedom, as a “illegal building” and has previously designated it for demolition due to its encroachment on a large canal.
However, it was claimed that the structure being destroyed was the one that housed the church’s generator and security office.
When the state task force stormed the site on Thursday to execute the destruction, the priest and several of the task force personnel got into a fight.
The pastor was reportedly manhandled by security personnel as they attempted to take him away after he resisted the demolition work.
