The Barcelona striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and his family were robbed and physically assaulted by masked intruders who broke into their home in the early hours of Monday morning.

The footballer was said to have been at home with his family when the robbery allegedly occurred around 1:00am

According to reports, the robbers entered through the garden and immediately pointed their pistols at the footballer while assaulting and threatening his wife.

Witnesses claim that the assailants broke into the family safe before exiting the house in a white Audi A3.

According to reports, Alysha Behague, the wife of Aubameyang, called the police, who have already launched a search for the assailants.
