Anesthetist who was imprisoned for allegedly raping a pregnant patient during a C-section is also suspected of abusing two other mothers on the same day.

Giovanni Quintella Bezerra, 32, was jailed on suspicion of rape after reportedly being secretly videotaped orally raping a woman at the Hospital da Mulher in So Joo de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro.

The husband of the woman was requested to leave the room, and he only learned what had happened to his wife when he saw the doctor on television following his arrest.

Delegate Barbara Lomba, who is in charge of looking into the matter, stated, “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The victim told her family that she believed she was experiencing a hallucination at the time of the sexual assault.

The quantity of medications Bezerra was allegedly giving his patients caused concern among the hospital staff. According to reports, the doctor administered so much anesthesia during delivery that the mothers were unable to hold their children.

So, suspicious employees installed a covert camera to record what he was doing. When they witnessed him attacking the woman sexually, they were shocked.

According to reports, he sexually attacked her for about ten minutes.

Police are looking into whether two additional women who were allegedly attacked that day were also victims of rape, according to staff members who witnessed the assault. The doctor allegedly performed two other similar procedures that day.

Employees reported that during the second procedure on Sunday, July 10, Giovanni “wore an open cloak on himself, broadening his silhouette, and positioned himself in such a way that also prevented anyone from seeing the patient from the neck up.”

Most C-sections do not completely sedate the patient during the process, but the ladies who had surgeries earlier in the day reported being totally unconscious.

His voice was all I could recall from the operation, one of the patients remarked. He was whispering in my ear, and I didn’t like that. He asked what was wrong with me.

Since the allegations were made clear, two other women who claimed to be Bezerra’s patients have shown up at the police station in Brazil.

According to the witness, Giovanni began making slow back and forth motions while still facing the patient’s neck and head, according to G1 Rio de Janeiro.

He appeared to be holding the patient’s head toward his pelvis based on movement and the curvature of the arm, according to the witness.

The doctor had previously been moved to the Benfica prison. The doctor’s custody hearing took place on Tuesday, July 12. In Brazil, he is accused of rape and could receive a sentence of 8 to 15 years in prison.
