A business woman, identified as Fatima Ismail has dragged her ex-lover to court. On Wednesday, the woman pleaded with the Sharia court at Rigasa, Kaduna to admonish her ex-lover to pay her the money he borrowed from her.
The Ex-lover, Abubakar Shuaibu owes the business woman a sum of N180, 000.
Fatima told the court that she borrowed Abubakar N230, 000 to fix his car, and he has so far paid back only N50, 000.
According to her, every single she has put in to recover the money has failed. Defending himself, Abubakar mentioned that his Ex-girlfriend didn’t mention whether the money she gave him was a loan.
In his words:
“She doesn’t like seeing me worried, whenever she sees me in that state, she usually ask to give me money.”
He told the court didn’t have a job. However, he promised to pay N20,000 monthly until the loan was paid.
The Judge Malam Abubakar Salihu-Tureta, ruled that the defendant should pay N30, 000 monthly beginning from the first week of January 2023.
