Gospel Artiste, Mercy Chinwo Performs At PDP Rally In Akwa Ibom. Many people would assume that gospel performers only perform at events with a Christian theme, but on Tuesday, gospel singer Mercy Chinwo ended up breaking the tradition by serenading thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters at the flag-off of the party’s 2023 governorship campaigns in Uyo. the capital of Akwa Ibom State.

Political parties always bring in comedians and artists from the secular world to liven up their rallies, but the PDP in Akwa Ibom broke the tradition with Chinwo’s performance.
At precisely 1:12 pm, the Port Harcourt-born singer, wearing her signature beret, ascended the colorfully decorated podium and instantly became the center of attention as her soft voice mingled with the sweet rhythm of the instruments to generate melodic tunes.
She sang several songs, including “See the way you love me,” “Jesus, you love me too much,” and others.
The governor exclaimed in his speech after Sister Mercy’s ministry, “Sister Mercy, “this is fantastic.”
Meanwhile, the singer, Mercy Chinwo got married to a pastor named Blessed Uzochikwa few months ago.
The wedding was attended by celebrities like singer and politician Bankole Wellington nicknamed Banky W and wife Adesua including other celebrities and fellow gospel singers.
Also there at the rally, Chairman of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council, Emmanuel addressed a large crowd of supporters when he unveiled his anointed successor, Umo Eno; as well as PDP Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates in the state, the governor expressed optimism that the team will win and campaign for PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Emmanuel also stated that he won’t resign as the Chairman of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council.

“I remain the chairman of the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign. I am not going anywhere.
