Pastor Paul Nwachukwu of the Assemblies of God Church, Amita Isiagu in Ebonyi State, has appealed for urgent financial support. This is to enable him defray the N1.6 million medical bill for his son.
His son, whose name is ThankGod Nwachukwu, 14 has been detained at the Holy Child Orthopedic Hospital, Agbani Road, Enugu. This is as a result of the inability of the parent to pick up his medical bill.
Talking about his ordeal, Mr. Nwachukwu said that his family had gone through unpleasant moment since this incident happened one year ago.
He stated that his son was knocked down by a hit-and-run motorcyclist on November 6th 2021. This happened when the boy was returning from church.
According to Mr. Nwachukwu, the motorcyclist was said to be driving without light fled the scene after shattering the ankle bone of the victim.
“We later found him (the motorcyclist) but he said that he had no father and mother. And has not been able to make any financial contribution for my son’s treatment,” Mr. Nwachukwu said.
He said that the family was left with no choice than to seek medical attention for his son.
Mr. Nwachukwu thanked the management of the hospital for giving attention to his son. He mentioned that his son can now walk again, and his doing this through the aid of crutches.
He appealed to Government, organizations and spirited individuals to come to the aid of the family.
