A thief who broke into a church and stole church instruments left a touching note explaining his actions.
The thief is said to have raided the Pentecost-English Assembly in Bogoso, in the Western Region of Ghana, and took away two amplifiers, a drive, and other valuables after members closed for evening service.
According to local news, church members returned the next day to find the auditorium had been ransacked, as well as notes left in the church by the thief.
In the note, the thief asked for God’s blessing and reminded the congregation that only Jesus helped the thief on the cross.
Church president Samuel Kumi, who confirmed the news, said that the Bogoso Police Command has officially started an investigation that could lead to the arrest of the thief.
