Mba Ifeoma Gloria and Eremezie Tochukwu Martin, a couple whose wedding was scheduled for January 18, 2023, were murdered at Arondizuogu in the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state by as-yet-unidentified gunmen.
Residents of the neighborhood said that on January 11, the trio of shooters attacked and killed the engaged pair as they rode in the groom’s brother’s tricycle.
On Wednesday, a large number of community members gathered to curse the perpetrators of the ongoing deaths and kidnappings in their neighborhood. They further allege that the attackers have infiltrated their neighborhood and that they have a habit of robbing people of their flashy cars and killing the owners.
The state police command has not yet responded to inquiries about this terrible situation.
