Ahead of Nigeria’s World Cup playoff clash against Ghana on Tuesday, March 29 at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu bought 5,000 tickets for fans who will support the Super Eagles.

Kalu, who represents the Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, said on his Facebook page on Sunday morning that the movement comes from his Orji Uzor Kalu foundation.

He said that he would distribute tickets at the entrance to the game by 3:00pm.

We look forward to putting a grin on our faces when the Eagles win their games because they are a pillar of African sport, he remarked.

The Super Eagles played the Ghanaian Black Stars in a 2022 World Cup qualifier after Ghana hosted their first game on Friday at the Baba Yara Kumasi Sports Stadium but ended in a draw.

The World Cup, which will be held in November at Qatar, the winner or the team with an away goal, in the event of a draw will occupy one of the five African countries slots.
