Ifeanyi Ezenagu was reportedly arrested by the Nigeria Police Force’s Lagos State command for allegedly robbing over 30 women after acting as a boyfriend and inviting them to a hotel.

According to the police, Ezenagu was apprehended after robbing six women of their valuables after putting something in their drinks.

The arrest was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement shared on the official twitter account of the Lagos State Police Command. He claimed the arrest was made possible by the Surulere division detectives.

Hundeyin claimed that the 34-year-old suspect lured the women to a hotel where he allegedly laced their drinks, causing them to fall into a deep sleep and then robbed them of three iPhones 12, two iPhones 11 Pro Max, one iPhone XR, one Nokia phone, one wristwatch, and one gold necklace, valued at a total of N2,368,000.

In the statement titled: “Blind Date: Police Arrest Serial Thief, according to the PPRO, “Initial investigations indicate that the suspect has no regular location but instead lures women to several hotels where he drugs and robs them without leaving a trace. Investigations further turned up the fact that since starting this crime, he has robbed over thirty women.

“Even though all of the stolen goods were found before he could get rid of them, police are still looking for the people who received the stolen items he deals with. Once the investigation is complete, the suspects will be arraigned.

“All residents of Lagos are reassured by CP Abiodun Alabi, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, that the command will continue to work to eradicate crime and criminality in the Centre of Excellence. Also, he urges Nigerians to exercise caution and alert security services to any questionable activity.”
