Nigerian evacuees from Ukraine have begun to arrive in Abuja.

This information was released in a tweet from the NIDCOM (Nigeria Diaspora Commission) account.

Around 7:10 this morning, 450 people from Romania boarded a Max Air passenger plane and landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport’s special jet terminal. The majority of them are students who fled from Ukraine to Romania after Russia invaded Eastern Europe.

As per COVID-19 practice, they were quarantined after being formally received by the authorities and going through documents.
