Nigerian music act Portable has taken to social media to blast the Headies Award and stated that he is focused on Grammy.

Portable claimed in a new song that is going viral on social media that he is larger than the Headies award and that he will eventually win a Grammy.

The drama surrounding Portable and the Headies began after the artist was disqualified from the Rookie of the Year and Street Hop Song of the Year categories at the 2022 Headies because he threatened other contenders. Readers will recall that this led to the commencement of Portable and the Headies scandal.
Since that incident, there has been no animosity between Portable and the Headies, and his most recent jab at them follows the recently ended 2023 Headies ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Best Female Artist award wasn’t given out on stage at the 16th Headies, which caused the usual uproar.
He compared himself to the late American iconic rapper 2 Pac, who he claimed also had no Grammy awards, and said that the fact that he didn’t win a Headies award doesn’t diminish his fame.
