It is election season in Nigeria and Nigerians take to the streets to promote their candidates and political parties, especially good governance.

The campaign to increase voter turnout is also gaining momentum ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Voting in Nigeria is impossible for those without permanent Voters Cards, so, political leaders, pastors, activists, and business owners are urging eligible voters to register with the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, to receive their PVCs. This way they can effect change by going to the polling unit to vote into power, the people’s choice.

Because of reluctance by some individual to collect PVC, a Nigerian restaurant said it was offering a 13 percent discount to all customers who had PVC.

The restaurant named Red Gourmet Kitchen said it is doing it to mark Nigeria’s democracy day.

The restaurant has branches in Lagos and Abuja.

The Abuja branch is at no 990 Sterling Bank Boulevard, Opp Tuwo Place, behind Fraser Suite, Central Area while the Lagos branch is at no 2 Akintola Ajeigbe St, Lekki Phase I 106104, Lekki
