The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four men over the disappearance of a 36-year old woman. The woman, whose name is Aminat Adebayo went missing about two month ago.
The suspects are Azeez Raimi, 21; Saheed Yusuf, 33; Michael Awodero 287; and Soneye Lateef, 39. These suspects were arrested following a complaint lodged at the Sagamu divisional Police headquarters by the brother of the victim.
The brother of the missing woman, Ahmed Adebayo, took the case to the police command days after his sister had gone missing.
The SP of the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi released a statement on Thursday. He said: “Ahmed told the police that his younger sister left home on September 15th and her whereabouts has been unknown since then.”
The PRO said, “In compliance with the CP’s directive, the SP Taiwo Opadiran-led team embarked on technical and intelligence-based. This investigation led them to a hotelier, Soneye Lafeef, in whose facility the victim was last seen.
On interrogation, the hotelier admitted that the missing woman was in his hotel on the day. She was invited by her friend, Bose Fajebe, who came to the hotel with her boyfriend.
The said Bose Fajebe was the one that invited the missing woman to join them. However, immediately she arrived, the hotelier picked interest in her and began having romantic conversation with her.

“The hotelier further said that the missing woman also left later that night. He also left the hotel with two of his friends, whose names are Michael Awodero and Soneye Lateef. They left to meet a herbalist that was meant to carry out Ifa divination rituals for them. He added that they were all at the shrine the whole night.”
Oyeyemi explained that contrary to the claim by the hotelier that the missing woman wasn’t with them at the shrine. The Ife priest however did confirmed that he saw the woman in the vehicle with Lateef and Yusuf outside the shrine.
The PRO added that the priest insisted that the two men later left with the woman.
The Police spokesman said the state commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole has now ordered that the suspect be prosecuted.
