According to the Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps, the fatal collision occurred on Tuesday night near Gofamint in Ogunmakin on the Lagos-Ibadan Highway, leaving three people dead and one injured.
The event was reported to journalists in Abeokuta on Wednesday morning by Sector Commander Ahmed Umar.
According to Umar, the incident took place at 10:55 p.m. It was a Toyota Hiace bus with the license plate DUI 187 FST and a minivan with the markings YYY 457 YY.
The truck driver’s speed and lane deviation during the collision, according to the FRSC Commissioner, caused a number of accidents.
Six people in total, including four males and two women, were involved, he claimed.
Two women died in the collision along with the bus driver, and one person was hurt.
According to Umar, the deceased were dumped in the FOS mortuary in Ipara while the injured were transported to the Victory Hospital in Ogere for medical attention.
Drivers were asked by the sector commander to exercise caution and stay on designated routes, particularly at night.
