Four young men were killed by lightning during a rainfall in Ago Dada village, in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo state.
The youths were struck by lightning in their homes on Wednesday and died instantly before help could reach them.
The incident is said to have caused tension in the community when members of the community went to the scene.
According to reports, the four men were inside a house when suddenly lightning struck the community with accompanying thunder, killing four of them.
Though some traditionalists visited the scene to perform some rituals and appease the gods before the men bodies could be buried.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the incident.
