Genesis Ezebong, a domestic worker, his brother Michael, and another man named Ikade Moses have all been sentenced to life imprisonment for an armed robbery that took place in the Palm Groove area of Lagos State by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of an Ikeja Special Offenses Court.
While the trial didn’t start until January 11, 2022, the defendants were arraigned on December 18, 2020. They committed the conspiracy and armed robbery offenses on January 13, 2019, at No. 222 Ikorodu Road, Palm Groove, Lagos, according to the prosecution attorney, Omowumi Bajulaye, who told the judge at the convicts’ arraignment.
She said that the three robbed one Daniel of a Compact Laptop, an Apple laptop, gold, costumes, jewelry, Blackberry phones, one digital camera, soccer shoes, and two other phones belonging to one Titilope Akeredolu while displaying cutlasses, shovels, and other deadly weapons.
