Emmanuel Udom, Governor of Akwa Ibom said his chosen successor will ensure the country’s economic prosperity.

On Sunday, Udom appointed Umo Ino, a cleric and the current land and water commissioner of his state, as his preferred successor.

On Tuesday, in an interactive session with key party members in Uyo, the state capital, Udom said the interesting story of Ino is growing up in a police barracks and enduring the hard work and dedication to his current status will resonate with people.

The Governor said, on “It is not only his abilities that will inspire our young generation. He is a man of peace who will ensure that the peace and security of life that we have enjoyed for the past six years is maintained.
