Popular Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma, on Tuesday, April 26, revealed that he has been denied access to the United States.

The comic star revealed this on a Q&A section with fans on Instagram.

According to Bovi, he was barred from entering the country because of clashes with visa officials.

He told fans about the ban after they asked him to come to Massachusetts to perform.

He said:
I’m banned in the USA.”

Again, he replied to a fan who asked him if he would leave the country.

He said:
“I am a citizen of the world. Except for Yankee where I’m banned.”

Narrating the reason for the ban, he said: “Ill luck. Met a charity-like visa-issuing officer. Egos clashed. I was labelled. I go dey carry shoulder.”

The comedian revealed in February 2022 that he was almost accused of stealing from a London hotel.

Speaking further in the Q&A session, the comedian also cleared the air on the suspected dispute between him and his colleague, Ayo Makun, who is professionally called AY.

An inquisitive fan asked why he and AY don’t perform at each other’s show. The comedian answered pointing to American comedians.

He said:
Have you ever seen Chris Rock at a Henry Hart show?”
