China, a member of the BRICS Alliance, has achieved a significant diplomatic feat by mediating a peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
However, there are rumors circulating online that both countries are contemplating joining the BRICS alliance.
The alliance is an intergovernmental organization that brings together five major emerging economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, the countries are considered to be among the fastest-growing economies in the world, and they represent a significant portion of the world’s population, landmass, and natural resources. The alliance provides a platform for these countries to work together on issues of mutual interest, such as economic development, trade, investment, and global governance.
The BRICS alliance has not traditionally played a major role in Middle Eastern affairs, as the member countries are primarily focused on their own domestic priorities and relations with other regions.
However, the alliance has occasionally taken positions on Middle Eastern issues and now that China one of the alliance has finally succeeded in bringing peace into the region by bringing the two biggest oil producing countries to sign a peace accord, what would this mean for the world economy if the both country decided to join BRICS.
